The Dwell Hotel
My review of The Dwell Hotel in Chattanooga TN ~
Right when you walk into the doors of the Dwell you know it is a special hotel, with antique mid-century modern furnishing and swanky printed wallpaper adorning the lobby and hotel bar. Set in a historical building, you can still still see the old bones of the building and the architecture that hotel used to compliment the space. Stefan and I visited for his birthday, on a a special night when their beautiful event space, The Solarium, was hosting a pop-up dinner. We stayed in the Palm Spring Suite, a room with retro pink floral wallpaper, a vintage soaking tub, and a private balcony. The room was incredibly beautiful, and was the perfect setting for photos :) Later in the night we had dinner at the Solarium, eating a menu consisting of heirloom tomato soup, tn hot catfish with a kohlrabi and green bean slaw, and a tasty blackberry and peach cobbler to finish. The next morning we enjoyed complimentary breakfast and I spent the rest of my morning editing photos in the cafe and enjoying the atmosphere of the retro sunroom and 1950’s music playing softly in the background. During our stay I felt transported back in time and fell in love with the hotel’s vintage charm. The staff were all so kind and accommodating and helped to make our time at the hotel memorable. I hope to stay there again soon, and definitely think it is the place to stay during your visit to Chattanooga, TN.
